- Who We Are -

United by purpose, fueled by compassion- Trekking Ambassadors strive to illuminate lives one step at a time.

We are a team of adventurers who operate charitable missions to support remote villages in the developing world under the umbrella of Santa Barbara Wellness Center Inc. a 501(c)3non-profit www.SBWellness.org

Our mission is to meet the 3 basic needs- Affordable and sustainable solar lights to support students in rural schools, basic education and essential healthcare.

In 2022 Trekking Ambassadors started a mentorship program with the 6th, 7th and 8th grade students at the Waldorf School of Santa Barbara, www.Waldorfsantabarbara.org .

Trekking Ambassadors helps support "Unite to Light" by procuring their amazing solor tasks lights and solar battery bank chargers www.Unitetolight.org

- Our Goals -

The Challenge : Many remote mountain villages in the developing world have little to no electrical power.

Villagers are often reliant on kerosene or locally felled timber to light their homes, that causes respiratory problems for both children and adults. The use of Kerosene is expensive and often causes finacial burdens upon famlies.

Our Aim at Trekking Ambassadors is to provide simple, mobile, cost effective solar lighting for the schools and clinics of these remote villages. We value being the difference through selfless acts of contributions.

We are proud of our ever-growing relationships with the communities and connections we forge.

Travel has the power to change the world, one school, one village, one person at a time. When determining how we can help the people, schools and communities we visit, we always ask for the wisdom of local leadership and the involvement of the community to ensure we are providing what is needed.

Our team is equipped to hike into harsh unpredictable remote regions worldwide. On our past missions in Nepal and Tanzania we were able to transport 250 solar reading lights to six small schools, 210 pairs of reading eyeglasses to four clinics and a hospital along with 25 solar battery bank chargers.

Our team has a pioneering spirit and tenacity to make a difference and with your support and donations we can help "Be the change."
